2008, The Rediscovery of Common Sense, Publish America, Baltimore, MD   From the back cover: "The Rediscovery of Common Sense” is a look at American culture, society, religion, politics and the family in the 21st century through the lens of common sense and scripture. The breakdown of the family, the moral deterioration in society, excessive corruption in politics, and the lack of ethics in the religious realm all have one common factor: they are directly linked to the abandonment of common sense, based on a literal interpretation of the Judeao-Christian scriptures. Written in the style of some of today's popular conservative pundits, it contains the clarity of Rush Limbaugh, the common sense of Ann Coulter and the boldness of a biblical John the Baptist."

2001, The Rantings and Ravings of Brother Ritechus N. Dignation.  Brother Ritechus N. Dignation is an ornery ole cuss and a right likable guy....both at the same time. He speaks his mind without mincing words, yet never in a caustic way. He complains, but also commends. He castigates the pulpit as well as the pew. He preaches, but then picks in fun. Mary Poppins said “A spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down” and Brother RND usually gives just enough sugar to make the medicine bearable. You may not always agree with him, but then as Brother Ritechus himself might say, in his “down South“ way, “Well, you’re just on the wrong side of the fence.”

2007, More Rantings and Ravings from Brother Ritechus N. Dignation. The first book, The Rantings and Ravings of Brother Ritechus N Dignation was printed in 2001. When Brother RND was resurrected in 2006, he began to appear in papers and publications around the country, and people seemed to actually cotton to his lunacy. He is a little backward at times, and he don’t always use good grammar, but he usually gets his point across with “Rite- isms” and an attempt at humor. Rite-isms, such as “explainify”, are words and phrases that are unique to Brother RND, some original, others borrowed. A list of Rite-isms with definitions, is included in this book.

A Southern Retelling of a Classic Tale

Cinderbubba 2009, Story: Joseph Harris  Art: Lea Hutto  Cinderbubba is a re-telling of a classic tale Southern style. The original Cinderella story is set in France and Cinderbubba is set in France also…………………..…France County, Mississippi that is. Anyone who has lived in the South will immediately recognize words, phrases and events that are uniquely Southern. The tractor pull, turkey shoot, shelling a pan of peas, the outhouse, mules and buckboard, sweet ‘taters, and many more familiarities will delight and tickle the reader in this tale with a surprise ending that is “happily ever after” for all.  Full cover original illustrations on glossy paper.

2008, Creative and Magical Illustrations for Christian Workers. This book is valuable for anyone working with children or adults in Christian education. The magic tricks can be easily used by magicians, but the tricks are on the level that anyone can purchase them and use my Gospel teachings with the tricks. The Unique Illustrations are original with me, require no skill as a magician for use, and was designed for the teacher to use in Sunday School or any ministry setting. I have used the illustrations and teaching with the magic literally hundreds of times in churches, VBS, camps, retreats, schools, colleges, libraries and many other venues, traveling in nine states since 1995. I hope and pray this book will be a blessing to the reader in their ministry for our Lord. - Joseph Harris  Contains full color photo illustrations.

Politically Incorrect Limericks, 2010.  Political correctness is a scourge that seeks to soften the truth and not offend. But political correctness is dangerous and has as a goal to change and/or deny truth by changing the way it is presented. Truth is absolute and one of two things can be done with truth: it can be accepted or it can be rejected, but it can never be changed. Political correctness attacks absolute authority.

Politically Incorrect Limericks is a book that is possibly the first of its kind. It contains 30 original limericks, now published for the first time. It also contains original cartoons by artist Ray Dombeck. Each limerick tells the plain truth, in a humorous way, yet with that needed "jab" which calls the reader to think. Even though the truths contained in the limericks are sobering, the humor softens the blow and makes for a light read on serious subjects. It really is a dose of reality.

Included with the limericks are several politically incorrect writings, poems and "news" headlines. These are added to make the reader think and to give an added laugh, along with the limericks.

libertyquotes.jpg

People separated from their history are easily persuaded. -Karl Marx-

These words from Karl Marx emphasize the need to read and heed these liberty quotes concerning the United States of America. Sometimes truth spoken by those who would destroy liberty, holds value, as their words serve to warn and equip to be ever vigilant in the quest to protect and maintain the freedom we all enjoy. It is a freedom purchased with blood, and the words of Thomas Jefferson, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants” ever ring true, especially in the troublesome times in which we live. May you be emboldened to stand for liberty as you read these quotes.
